Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
UploadReady is built so that your documents stay with you. This page explains what data is and isn't processed when you use the site.
Your files
When you compress or split a PDF, the work happens entirely inside your web browser, on your own device. Your files are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. We cannot see, store or access the documents you process.
Data we do process
- Technical request data. When your browser loads our pages, our hosting provider receives standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These server logs are kept for a short period by the hosting provider.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and your message. We use it only to reply and delete it when it's no longer needed.
Cookies and tracking
UploadReady currently does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or tracking pixels. If this changes, for example if we start showing ads, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Third-party services
- Hosting. The site is served by a hosting and content delivery provider, which processes the technical request data described above.
- Local testing only. When the page is opened directly from a computer instead of from our website, one helper file is loaded from a public code library (jsDelivr). This does not happen on the live site.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. You can also file a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Because we don't store your files, the only personal data we may hold is email correspondence.
Children
UploadReady is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13.
